Ever since I have had the ability to understand it, I have been captivated by the English language. As a child, I would always be found reading or writing stories and now as an adult, I appreciate a wide range of both fiction and non-fiction books from a variety of genres and eras.
Reading books and creating imaginary worlds were originally forms of escapism to me, a retreat from the structure and routine of my school studies. However, over the years, my favourite pastimes and my career have merged to form a passion for English and a clear ambition: to become a successful proofreader and maybe even a writer...!
